The Gyre project strives to unify local residential Marina communities and welcome visitors through greater beach access by linking 22 miles of costal bike path. Greater access can aid in the spread of a larger awareness of the crucial existence of the Ballona Wetlands and how impactful preventative methods can be made against ocean pollution.

A more direct connection across the marina that provides a public space for local residents, vendors and visitors to experience a pause above the water. A transitional venue space exists within this cross that allows for  multiple programs such as pop up vendors, exhibition space, and bike repair. visitors have the opportunity to either swiftly pass through or stop, rest, and take in the view.
