A new brand of products to promote the evolution of Lanna craft for the next generation of makers and buyers.

The SanMai brand aims to feature a range of products at different scales to get new makers involved on a number of levels, through a range of skill sets.

​

These products are designed to help impact the Thai craft culture by featuring the importance and rich tradition in Thai craft with several local products and by introducing new design and craft techniques that help support traditional methods and provide a new lens for the crafts to exist.

The SanMai travel kit is a handcrafted container that features local products that aid in the traveler’s daily needs while visiting Chiang Mai. This product intends to connect to the traveler on a more intimate and individual level.

 

The SanMai floor seat is inspired by local materials and traditional weaving methods. This multi-use furnishing can be made by Thai artisans and provide connected experience specifically within the home stay space. 

The seating is naturally cushioned by our developed woven hyacinth rope. It is a fairly small furniture piece that is easy to move and light weight.

The SanMai longe is a higher-end furniture piece that provides great potential in a furniture line produced by local artisans that can be sold internationally.
